Change is a coming.

Big, BIG, changes are coming, but I can't say what at this point. I will say the changes make me so sad I want to cry one minute and jump for joy in the next, then worry like crazy in the next still. What a mix of emotions that are so flipping confusing. I'll spill the beans eventually. Now is just not the right time.

Oh and the Sailor and I will be doing a Texas style Thanksgiving this year. =)

I'm flying out to the OKC and then Lauren and I will be driving down to near San Antonio to another Navy families house to spend a long weekend.

I met Mia on a Navy website when Lauren first enlisted over two years ago. Her son had just enlisted too and we struck up a friendship that has endured.

Her son is now on a destroyer (I think thats what it is) stationed in Hawaii. He went to boot camp a couple of months before Lauren, but they actually met up in Great Lakes. He had some classes up there after boot and she was stuck up there on hold for a month after boot before she left for her training in Pensacola. They went bowling and hung out a couple of times.

He is probably not going to be able to get home for the holiday. But its ok, Lauren and Mia are friends too!

I can't believe Lauren will hit her two year mark in the Navy on November 5th. Time flies when you're having fun(?)

Anyway we are both so excited. New adventures are always funnnnnn!!

So it's exciting and scary all at the same time? I'll be praying for you.

In the meantime, take care of yourself physically and mentally. Lots of change points, even good change, can be a threat to health. Now is not the time to let up in taking good care, getting sleep, eating well, not too much alcohol, etc. etc.

Your girl is beautiful! Does she have any, ahem, love interests ?

Dear peedee,
I am sitting on the edge of my mental chair, hoping the scary/big is wonderful and transforming!

And it's good to have holiday plans! That sounds like way fun. You gotta go see the River Walk. No doubt you will. And Remember the Alamo!!! I still have a thing for Col. Travis!!!

But I'm telling you, I do not have the hots for Crockett. Anyone who wears a dead tree-rat on his head does not have good judgement.

Seriously,
I'm hoping and praying for the best!
