Not a big fan, I don't even listen to much country music. Having said that, The Saint won a pair of tickets to a Dixie Chicks concert about 10 years ago.

As the show that is free is the show for me, we went. What an amazing concert. They connected with the audience better than any rock n roll show that I have seen.

It helps that I am a sucker for violins, that chick rocked on the fiddle.

Thanks for the post,
Ginger Schmoe

Dear peedee,
They are some rocking chicks! Accent makes me homesick, too.

Might hate their politics . . . and
yeah, they're celebrities. At least they took a risk and paid for a little while. Citizenship rocks too!

Just my 2 freaking cents.

Love and hugs,
Ann T.

Schmoe, I thought maybe you were a Ginger, too. . .

Ahhhhh Capt I new you were a ginger! How cute you must be!! And yeah Ann, any celebrity spewing politics just turns me off of them typically. But yeah, I love that freedom of speach thingy too. lol

Thanks for stopping by you guysssss!! Muahs!

Ahhh peedee,
Sorry to disappoint, a ginger yes - cute no.

Think of Scut Farkus (A Christmas Story) meets Clint Howard with a little Shrek thrown in.

Please don't kick me!!

Its not always the physical make up Capt that makes someone cute. That shining personality (obviously) makes up for a lot! lol The Saint saw something good there. ;)

Besides its the first hint of anything physical about you we've gotten! Well, except your the pic of your feets.

Shrek is cute. Dont kid urself. =)

I was never a big fan but all the politics put me off. I didn't boycott or anything, I only liked one or two songs and it's not like they play them often on the stations I listen to. Basically...meh.

I never get to use that word.

My dear friend was married to a stinking rat bastard and we always wished this song was around when the divorce from hell was going on. We still play it if we talk about him,

I wrote a play once and the bad guy was Earl. He was a scum sucking thieving wife abusing asshat. This was before the Chicks wrote the song. What is it about guys named Earl?

Dear peedee,
Got to say--

I love Dennis Franz (playing Earl). Recently watched via computer a bunch of NYPD Blue re-runs. That's a guy you love for personality.

Schmoe, you're in way good shape. Somewhere closer to Smits than Franz on the hot scale, pretty sure, going by those pictures of your feet you occasionally enter into your blog. But we know you already have the Saint.

Ok, I hate the fucking chicks.... but honestly that is the case with most cuntry music (not misspelled). However, the Earl Has got to die song always cracked me up.

I knew you'd hate them Meps. I dont know why, just did. I'm thinking you like more of the death metal stuff. lol

Your right Ann T. =)

And Linnnnn, mommas shouldnt name their babies Earl. Bad Karma and shit.

Sisu I hope he got his...

Jen, I dont listen to country or Cuntry as Meps says. I dont know how I found these guys, maybe someone was playing it one day and I caught wind of the catchy tune. Have no idea. But I do like them.

Dear peedee,
I don't like a ton of country music, but oh, no. Some of it's the bomb.

Emmylou Harris. Lucinda Williams. Mary Chapin Carpenter. All that bluegrass. Hank Williams. And--

Patsy Cline. oh, my word.

It's true this list is mostly female. I think most of the guys couldn't find their way out of a bar or a head shop.

But really, I like the blues the best. Little R & B vibe. Stuff like that.

Blabbing away,
Ann T.

I grew up listening to Patsy Cline. My dads favorite. =)
