Lazy

Boredom reigns supreme today.

Yesterday (Saturday) I went to the beach to count grains of sand. The weather was so so with peeks of sun and mostly clouds. Not ideal mind you but its not all about the sun for me. The beach is relaxing too. I breath in the salty air and it rejuvinates me. Makes me near whole again. Also, no one bugs me at the beach. Its quiet. No work, no errands, no favors.

If I won the lottery I'd live on the beach and I'd quit work until I WANTED TO WORK AGAIN. I'd give away half my winnings to family and friends and tell them dont ask for a penny more and dont bother me. About anything.

Today its been off and on showers. We are at the cusp of rainy season and its my least favorite time of year down here. Fronts have this tendancy to hover over south Florida...one day just north of us, the next day over us, and the next just north agian. Craptastic weather pattern. Just fucking rain and shove off already!

Remi is bummed because today was his swimming day. Sorry buddy, talk to Mr. Weatherman.
You know we're bored. Watching Snakes on a Plane for the 57th time.

Remi watches with me...Jakes over it.

Samuel L Jackson: Enough is ENOUGH! I have had it with these motherfuckin' snakes on this motherfuckin' plane! Everybody strap in! I'm about to open some fuckin' windows.

Well the beach sounds relaxing to me, though I prefer climate control, hey there is an invention for you! A portable glass thing that dads/men can sit inside that is air conditioned! I'll take 10%.

I never watched snakes on a plane but I like ole Sam usually.

I thought rainy days were for laying around naked and snuggling?!

or something like that.

I'm taking Bella to the dog park for a little butt sniffing and a skididdle or two...Otherwise it HAS been quite the lazy day.

Watched UFOs in the Bible on the History Channel and was rendered disoriented by a commercial for Slap Chop starring Vince the alien pitch man in a rap mashup from hell.

Trying to fight the feeling now with cheap screw top wine and frozen fruit to make a chilly fruity sangria thingie.

Laying around naked and snuggling sometimes just ain't in the zodiac for me so I make do...

The beach sounds great! Can't say as I'd enjoy counting the grains of sand, though, I'd surely get distracted!!
Never saw the Snakes on a Plane movie, but we have snakes in our house so I am afraid it would give me nightmares. I love Samuel L. Jackson, though!

Dear peedee,
Oh, the beach. It's mesmerizing, puts me straight into the 'zone'. No thoughts and no worries. Maybe a book.

It's good to have a lazy one every once in awhile.

I never minded rain in Florida, but i sure hated mosquitoes in Florida. The humidity is killer though.

I hope you have a good rest-of-the evening!

Linnnnn, one word: Sangria!! mmmmmmmmmmm!

Umm, Lindsey, Snakes IN your HOUSE?? WTF??? and I dont really count grains of sand. =)

Ann, Exactly!! I love the zone at the beach. I dont feel the humidity anymore. After 20 years you get used to it. ;)

I wish I had a salt water beach. The big lake is nice but it's a three hour hike to get there and there is no sand, just rocks and really cold water. Still, it's big and I can think. I'm glad you had a moment to yourself.

Capt....you and my mother are both wusses. She saw a 4 ft black snake the other day out by the garage...she hasnt been the same since and wont be near normal until she tells at least 27,324 people about said snake.
The day was ok. Boring but ok. Sometimes you need those kinds to appreciate the non boring ones better.

Say that quote in Sam Jacksons "way of saying" things Meleah...its soooo funny!!

Red, you get your butt down here to Florida on vacation and we can do some serious beach time. Bring the youngins...I have friends with kids both ages. Good times guaranteed!

LOL Observer, I stopped counting at 1,229. Got bored and some hott guy walked by and I lost my place. pffffft!
And I'm not made up of 70% water for nothing ;) The ocean is my soul!
