Once a ballah, always a ballah....

I'm not sure how the word got out but somehow it did. The Navy was hiding 3 ex-softball players on their base in Oklahoma.

The sailor was invited along with two of her buddies to try out for Tinkers Womens Softball team. Both of her buddies played 4 years of collage ball. The sailor played on Stacey Nuvman's (USA Olympics Softball) gold glove travel ball team. And High School. And oooooodles of other travel ball teams thru the years.

This base team plays tournaments locally, in TX and KS and I believe other bases.

And the verdict after the tryout??? Um She Made It. Like I new she would. ;)

Now the quandry......how the hell am I gonna get to all her tournaments?? Shit. I can count on one hand the number of games I've missed.

Every team needs a ringer, looks like Tinker found theirs. I wonder if there was a box checked by her recruiter somewhere in her file.

I am quite sure that you will find a way to catch at least a few of her games, old customs are hard to break. Have fun Peedee

Dear Peedee,
I have nothing but awe for this.
I cannot bat. Can't pitch. Can't throw. Catch? What is it you say? Psssshhht.

I can run to bases, but I've never slid in my life. Home is where you leave, in Ann T's ball-type world. You doan' never come back.

Hey! I can be a reverse ringer. What is that called?

Hello from outer outfield, or,
cheering madly,
Ann T.
