I know this moment; I am interpreting the wordless and I thank you for it. Ann T.
Some days the lonelyness and missing just slaps you in the back of the head. Its rude and it hurts.
What's going on? Dare I ask or not?In any event, I'm hoping you might like this: whilst on vacation by the ocean, my wife and I visited the local animal shelter -- which is much differentiated from the Humane Society right next door. The HS is pretty upscale. The county animal shelter is hanging by a budgetary thread and overpopulated. We visited and saw this dog who, because he had no other place to stay, was in the shelter office. He was really wary and kinda claimed the office as his own. He was a stray. But there was something to him that just sang to us.And on our doggone vacation, we decided to adopt him. So we did. I will have a post coming shortly, with photographs, about this. His name was Buddy but that's what the office people named him, because he was a stray, and he couldn't tell anyone what his true name was. So we're probably gonna call him Teddy. And here's the weirder thing: we decided to stay an additional two nights, but it had to be at another hotel because this one, now where I'm writing this, doesn't take dogs.So we're staying the next two nights at another local "dog friendly" motel right next to the ocean, where we can walk him and get used to him some more. And not have to hide him.BZ
Dear BZ,I know why you came here to announce the 'new arrival', b/c I am always getting my dog fix at peedee's place. My condo, no dogs allowed. I must have been crazy. And I love pet-friendly hotels. I can't wait to see your new Teddy. We used to let mine retrieve down the hotel hallways when everybody was asleep. One light plastic ball, one lightning dog! Go Rosie! Ann T.
Oh BZ thats AWESOME!!!! What a lucky dog (so to speak)!! And just what you and your wife needed!! I cant wait to see pics of him. You made me smile. Thank you!!
And not much going on BZ. I just miss the kid sooo much somedays it hurts. I get over it pretty quickly usually.
