I am speechless about this crap right now. I keep looking at the coated pelicans and wishing it would all stop.
I have always liked BP but talk about the shit. I hope they get this figured out before four states and countless birds, fish, mammals, oysters, shellfish, and businesses disappear forever.
Note to Mr Obama: how about some assistance instead of excoriation? It's only, what, THREE weeks since Jindal asked for you to sign off on the permits for his sand berms.
I cant even look at the pics of the animals coming out of there. I'm all for getting our own energy source but jesus, how bout some really strong saftey precautions be put in place first.
The fact that this has been made political drives me crazy! Let's get the well shut down, do analysis to figure out why this happened, make sure it doesn't happen again, and quit playing games.
They tried the same BS with the Haiti earthquake, remember.
Also, this country needs a real national energy policy.
Dear BZ, You and I are somewhat in agreement here. I think those poor bastards at BP are rushing as fast as they can.
It's a horrible mess, and all this finger-pointing is distracting to the end result. Furthermore, BP would run a hell of a lot better assistance program (I've studied this) than the Feds will.
It is bad luck and horrible consequences. I still regret it horribly though. Ann T.
If I have to tolerate another simpering "steward of the environment" BP commercial, I'm going to throw up. Could they not devote those efforts and dollars to cleaning up their stupid mess?
